President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to the founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, William Kumuyi, on the occasion of his 85th birthday.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Kumuyi as a remarkable man of God whose unwavering faith and dedication have shaped one of Nigeria’s most influential Christian ministries for more than five decades.

Tinubu praised the cleric’s widespread influence, noting that his teachings, writings, and global evangelistic efforts have reached millions of people across and beyond Nigeria.

“As the convener of Global Crusade with Kumuyi, your voice has reached beyond the church walls and national borders, bringing hope and encouragement to millions across the world,” the President said.

He added that Kumuyi’s writings have provided guidance, inspiration, and spiritual direction to countless believers seeking purpose and truth.

“Your writings have illuminated minds, inspired hearts, and provided timeless guidance to those seeking truth and purpose,” Tinubu stated.

The President further commended the impact of Kumuyi’s ministry on families, leadership, and generations of Christians, describing it as transformative.

“Your ministry and influence have transformed lives, restored families, inspired leaders, and strengthened the faith of generations of believers,” he said.

Tinubu also prayed for continued strength and divine health for the cleric as he marks the milestone.

“On this special day, I pray that Almighty God continues to grant you strength, divine health, peace, and abundant grace,” he added.

William Kumuyi founded the Deeper Christian Life Ministry in 1973 as a campus fellowship at the University of Lagos, where he served as a mathematics lecturer.

Over the decades, the ministry has grown into one of Africa’s largest Pentecostal movements, with a presence in more than 150 countries.

Known for his strict doctrinal teachings, disciplined lifestyle, and strong evangelistic focus, Kumuyi remains one of the most respected Christian leaders on the continent.
