Sowore Slams Tinubu, Demands ₦500,000 Monthly Minimum Wage for Workers

The 2027 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has launched a strong criticism of President Bola Tinubu, describing him as “lazy and clueless” over his handling of Nigeria’s worsening insecurity.

Sowore said the President has failed to provide effective solutions to the security crisis affecting parts of the country, including recent killings in Plateau State and abductions in Oyo State.

He also faulted the Federal Government’s earlier promises, including plans to deploy 5,000 artificial intelligence-powered surveillance cameras to tackle insecurity, noting that such measures have not stopped the violence.

In a post on his social media handle, Sowore wrote: “Your lazy and clueless president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT, has no effective solution to Nigeria’s worsening insecurity.”

He further referenced the President’s announcement of deploying 1,000 forest guards following the Oyo schoolchildren abduction, saying kidnappings have continued despite the proposal.

Sowore also expressed support for Nigerian workers, calling for a ₦500,000 monthly living wage in response to rising economic hardship.

He argued that no worker can live decently on ₦100,000 monthly under current economic conditions, insisting that the situation reflects deep inequality and neglect.

According to him, Nigeria needs a leadership that can awaken citizens to demand their rights and resist poverty and exploitation.

Sowore added that national progress can only be achieved when citizens become more conscious of their living conditions and refuse to accept hardship as normal.
