US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has strongly accused Israel of carrying out genocide and other atrocities without facing accountability.

She condemned Israel’s military actions in Lebanon and called for an immediate end to United States military assistance to the country.

In a post on X, Omar said Israel had repeatedly learned that it could commit genocide and other serious violations with what she described as near-total impunity.

She further claimed that the “Gaza playbook” was now being extended to Lebanon, adding that Israel’s operations in the country were resulting in thousands of deaths and displacing more than one million people.

Omar insisted there should be “no more US aid to Israel.”

Earlier, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike on the town of al-Mansouri in the Tyre district early Tuesday morning, alongside artillery fire in the area.

The report also stated that another airstrike later hit a residential building in al-Hosh, Tyre, destroying property and damaging nearby homes.

Two injured persons were reportedly rescued from the rubble and taken to hospital.
