The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government to take urgent steps to improve the living conditions of Nigerians.
The party’s National Chairman, David Mark, made the call on Saturday during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja.
Mark also called on all tiers of government to intensify efforts aimed at addressing the rising insecurity across the country, stressing the need for decisive and sustained action.
The former Senate President further charged party leaders and members nationwide to remain united and recommit themselves to the shared goal of building a stronger and more inclusive Nigeria.
“We therefore urge governments at all levels to intensify efforts toward tackling insecurity decisively and implementing policies that make life more meaningful for Nigerians,” he said.
He warned against internal divisions within the party, noting that personal ambition should never override collective interest.
“We must resist every tendency capable of weakening our collective resolve. Personal ambition must never supersede party interest,” he added.
Mark also emphasized the importance of ideology and institutional strength in political party development, saying enduring political movements are built on values rather than personalities.
“History teaches us that strong political parties are built not merely on personalities but on enduring values and institutions,” he said.
