President Donald Trump on Sunday issued a stern warning to Iran, declaring that the United States would respond with unmatched force if Tehran follows through on reported plans to launch a major strike.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump claimed that Iran had signalled intentions to retaliate strongly.

“Iran just stated that they are going to hit very hard today, harder than they have ever been hit before,” he wrote.

He followed the claim with a direct warning to the Iranian leadership.

“They better not do that, however, because if they do, we will hit them with a force that has never been seen before!” Trump added.

The remarks come amid escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran, raising concerns over the potential for further military confrontation in the region.
