Tinubu Orders Immediate Rescue of Niger Mosque Abduction Victims

President Bola Tinubu has ordered the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services and other relevant security and intelligence agencies to intensify efforts to immediately rescue victims of the mosque abduction in Niger State.

The directive was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to Onanuga, Tinubu expressed outrage over the abduction and killing of innocent citizens by criminal elements in the state.

The President condemned the attack, describing those responsible as enemies of peace and humanity.

“Those who carried out this cowardly attack on defenceless Nigerians are enemies of peace and enemies of humanity, who will not go scot-free,” Tinubu said.

He directed the security agencies to mobilise all necessary resources and coordinate their operations to secure the safe release of the abducted victims.

The President also called for intensified efforts to identify, track and apprehend those behind the attack, stressing that criminal elements responsible for attacks on innocent Nigerians must face the full weight of the law.
