Otti Celebrates Ngige, Obiano, Hails Their Contributions to Public Service

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has congratulated two former governors of Anambra State, Chris Ngige and Willie Obiano, on their 74th and 71st birthdays respectively, describing them as distinguished leaders whose contributions to public service remain worthy of recognition.
In separate goodwill messages issued on Saturday by his media aide, Ferdinand Ekeoma, Otti commended both former governors for their service to Anambra State and Nigeria.
The governor also prayed for their continued good health, long life and further opportunities to contribute to society.
Otti celebrates Ngige at 74
Congratulating Ngige on his 74th birthday, Otti described the former Anambra governor, senator and minister as an illustrious Nigerian and statesman whose contributions to nation-building deserve to be celebrated.
Otti said he was particularly pleased that Ngige was marking the milestone in good health.
“I feel elated to celebrate my brother and friend, Senator Ngige (Onwa), as he marks his 74th birthday anniversary. I am even more elated that he is celebrating in sound health,” he said.
The Abia governor noted that Ngige had distinguished himself through his various roles in public service and contributed significantly to the development of Anambra State and Nigeria.
“Senator Ngige is an illustrious Nigerian and statesman who has distinguished himself and contributed immensely to the development of Anambra in particular, and Nigeria in general, through his service as governor, senator, and minister; hence, my conviction that he is deserving of celebration at 74,” Otti stated.
He urged Ngige to remain committed to nation-building, stressing that his experience and knowledge could continue to contribute to strengthening Nigeria’s democracy and improving the economic well-being of citizens.
Otti congratulates Obiano at 71
Otti also felicitated with former Governor Willie Obiano on his 71st birthday, expressing gratitude to God for preserving his life and health.
The governor acknowledged Obiano’s contributions to public service, including his experience as a former bank executive and governor, and expressed confidence that he would continue to dedicate himself to serving his people and humanity.
“I wish to gladly celebrate my brother and friend, the former Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano (Akpọkuọ Dike), on the occasion of his 71st birthday.
“It is gratifying that Chief Obiano is alive and in good health to mark this beautiful addition. This occasion gives us cause to express gratitude to God for His mercies and for the gift of life and good health to Chief Obiano.
“I have no doubt that the former Anambra governor will continue to dedicate himself to the service of his people and humanity,” Otti said.
