Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe were on target as Real Madrid continued their perfect start to the La Liga season under Jose Mourinho with a commanding 4-0 victory over Malaga on Sunday.

Los Blancos scored three goals in a little over 10 minutes during the first half to take full control of the encounter against the Andalusian visitors at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Bellingham opened the scoring, while Malaga goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero scored an own goal before Mbappe added Madrid's third. Arda Guler completed the scoring late in the second half.

Having won their opening two league matches, Madrid entered the game full of confidence, with Mbappe, Bellingham and Vinicius Junior all making strong starts to the campaign.

Mourinho made five changes to the side that started the opening matches, handing Trent Alexander-Arnold and Marc Cucurella, among others, their first starts of the season.

Bellingham broke the deadlock in the 19th minute with a fine individual effort, beating two defenders before firing the ball through Herrero's legs.

Seven minutes later, the England international played a key role in Madrid's second goal. After Herrero stopped an effort from Mbappe, Bellingham headed the rebound towards goal, with defender Carlos Puga attempting to clear the ball off the line before it bounced off Herrero and into the net.

Mbappe then made it 3-0, volleying home Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross for his fourth goal of the campaign, sending him to the top of the La Liga scoring chart.

Promoted side Malaga created a few opportunities before half-time, with Rafa Rodriguez hitting the post after a corner was played into his path, while Chupe struck the side netting.

Madrid comfortably controlled the second half and added their fourth goal late in the game when Vinicius set up Guler for a simple finish from close range.

Meanwhile, reigning champions Barcelona will host Rayo Vallecano on Monday in their third league match of the campaign after winning their opening two fixtures.
