Former Inspector-General of Police, Mike Okiro, has officially hosted the flag of the CityBoy Movement during a visit to the organisation's Abia State headquarters, where he applauded its patron, Seyi Tinubu, for establishing the movement.

Okiro was received on Friday by the State Director of the CityBoy Movement, Abia State Chapter, Lucky Igbokwe, during the visit.

Speaking at the event, the former police chief described the creation of the CityBoy Movement as a commendable initiative that has helped strengthen grassroots mobilisation and encourage greater political participation.

He also reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu and urged members of the movement to remain dedicated to advancing the President's political agenda.

"I urge members of this movement to work collectively and use their democratic rights to support President Tinubu's bid for a second term in the 2027 general elections," Okiro said.

In his remarks, the Abia State Director of the CityBoy Movement, Lucky Igbokwe, commended Seyi Tinubu for the vision behind the establishment of the movement and expressed appreciation to Okiro for officially hosting the movement's flag.

He also praised the Director-General of the CityBoy Movement, Francis Shoga, as well as members of the National Executive and the National Working Committee for their leadership and continued efforts in expanding the movement across the country.

Describing the event as a milestone for the Abia chapter, Igbokwe said the steady growth of the organisation reflects the dedication of its leadership and members to grassroots mobilisation.

"This occasion is a significant moment for the Abia State Chapter of the CityBoy Movement. The growth of this structure reflects the commitment of our leadership and members to grassroots mobilisation," he said.

He reaffirmed the chapter's commitment to the objectives of the movement and expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu would secure re-election in the 2027 general elections.

Igbokwe also urged members and supporters across Abia State to remain united, organised and focused as the movement continues to expand its grassroots network and mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 polls.
