CP Danladi Reviews Abia Security Strategy, Warns Officers Against Misconduct

The Commissioner of Police in Abia State, CP Danladi Isa, has held a strategic meeting with senior officers of the Command to assess the state's security architecture and strengthen measures aimed at preventing crime and safeguarding residents.
The meeting, which took place on Friday at the State Command Headquarters, was attended by Area Commanders, Squadron Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and the Commander of the Visitor Crime Response Unit (VCRU).
Addressing the officers, CP Danladi said the session was convened to evaluate existing security strategies and develop additional proactive measures to improve crime prevention and detection across the state.
The Police Commissioner also reiterated the directive of the Inspector-General of Police on the enforcement against unregistered vehicles and vehicles with covered number plates. He emphasized that officers involved in the exercise must conduct themselves with the highest level of professionalism.
He warned that offenders should be prosecuted strictly in accordance with the law, while cautioning officers against using the enforcement exercise as an opportunity for extortion or any form of unprofessional conduct.
CP Danladi further directed supervising officers to closely monitor the activities of their subordinates to prevent misconduct, avoid vicarious liability and ensure compliance with established professional standards.
He also encouraged members of the public to report any incidents of police misconduct through the Complaint Response Unit of the Abia State Police Command using the dedicated telephone lines provided by the Command.
The Commissioner reaffirmed the Command's commitment to protecting lives and property while maintaining peace, law and order across Abia State.
