Anosike Says PDP Is Ready for 2027, Confident of Reclaiming Abia Government House

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State for the 2027 election, Dr. Kelechi Anosike, has declared that the party is fully prepared to reclaim power in the state at the next general election.

Anosike made the remarks while addressing journalists shortly after receiving a rousing welcome from party supporters and stakeholders upon his arrival at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport in Owerri, Imo State.

He described the large turnout of party faithful at the airport as evidence of renewed confidence in the PDP and growing support for the party across Abia State.

According to Anosike, the PDP has become stronger, more united and better positioned to provide effective leadership for the state, adding that the enthusiasm displayed by supporters reflects the beginning of a new chapter for the party.

He said the gathering demonstrated the collective determination of party members to return the PDP to Government House in 2027.

Anosike noted that while the party remains the same, it has embraced renewed energy, higher standards and a fresh sense of purpose ahead of the next election.

He expressed gratitude to God for what he described as a successful political journey so far and commended the party’s national leadership for its efforts to reposition the PDP ahead of future electoral contests.

The PDP governorship candidate specifically acknowledged the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, the party’s National Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad, and the National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, for their contributions to strengthening the party’s structures in Abia State.

He maintained that the PDP remains united and focused on securing victory in the 2027 governorship election, expressing confidence that the people of Abia would once again rally behind the party.

Describing his arrival as a symbolic homecoming following his emergence as the PDP governorship candidate, Anosike thanked party leaders, delegates, members of the State Working Committee and supporters across the state for their confidence and continued support.

He assured party members that he would work closely with all stakeholders to build a stronger and more united platform capable of delivering electoral victory for the PDP in Abia State in 2027.
